My favorite genres to read are romance, mysteries, thrillers, literary fiction, poetry, and more.

On this site, I will share book reviews, bookish content (like information about writing podcasts, author events, TV/Film book adaptations, online resources related to literacy and reading), writerly advice, and information about creativity, how to be inspired, and education.

Goals: I hope to build out the site into a bookish community with resources for readers, writers, parents, and teachers.

I taught middle school English for years and now I am a professor of education. Soon I will include a page with my academic writing for teachers, parents, and researchers.

My hobbies include swimming, hiking, and of course, reading! I love living in a beautiful small town in the mountains and my favorite season is, you guessed it, autumn.

I am a mom of one daughter and her favorite genre is graphic novels.
